Kibu

We met this particular challenge akin to redesigning a bicycle, albeit in the health & wellness space, with excitement. How does one improve upon something very basic and functional? And why not leave well enough alone? Just like everything else we create, it starts with the validation of the intended audience and their needs. Upon due diligence, we discovered that there is a growing niche of customers, particularly in North America and Japan, that is equally well-aware of wellness practices like sauna that are, at the same time, well-heeled enough to desire a more “substantial” solution than a primitive wooden bucket for temporarily storing warm water with the purpose of casting it on hot stones to produce steam. Enter Kibu (pronounced kee-booh) - the Estonian word for just what it is, except recast in durable stainless steel and featuring an integrated ladle that works double-time as a handle.
